Our hair suffers especially during the summer due to sun and chlorine. We can strengthen it naturally through our diet.
we are already in the heat of summer, this means for many of us looking for getaways to soak for a few hours either in a pool or at sea.
Our skin is clearly resentful of overexposure to the sun and contact with chlorine and other chemicals that add to the pool water. This is something we all know and have experienced, and these same factors affect the state of our hair as well.
Curly, dry and brittle hair is the most frequent complaint during hot weather, but like everything else, we must take care of it and protect it so that it stays well nourished and hydrated.
Another issue that often "worries" about hair is the time it takes to grow . This was my crusade for a while, in which month after month, even and having a lion's mane (for the amount of hair I have) it seemed that I did not grow a millimeter, in addition, when using always collected with harmful coleteros they did not help much To fulfill my purpose.
STRENGTHEN YOUR HAIR THROUGH FOOD
When making the change of feeding I realized that the hair is not only related to what we eat but in how our digestions and our blood circulation are.
To this day and since then, I maintain a moderately long mane, even below the chest, and a hair with very strong roots . But this has not always been the case ... so in this article I will share some of the tricks that have helped me ... ;-)
1. LET OUT
Let's start with the first thing we have to do is let the bad out so that the good nourishes us well. For very organic and many superfoods that you put on your plate, if your digestions are bad you will not properly assimilate all the nutrients that you could be getting rich from.
And if your circulation is also not in its best state , this means that oxygen and nutrient-carrying blood will not properly reach the extremities of your body, including the hair follicles. This is when your hair begins to weaken, break easily, fall more frequently and grow very slowly.
2. EAT SEEDS
Like chia seeds or flax seeds because of its high content of omega-3, which helps our body balance the levels of essential fatty acids and promotes better circulation.
Its high content in soluble fiber, and this we can see, check and taste in the delicious chia pudding, helps us cleanse the body and assists in digestion. In addition, these seeds contain high amounts of antioxidants, minerals, amino acids.
3. DRINK HEMP SEED MILK
Once again for its high content of omega 3 fatty acids . It is as easy to prepare as to beat 1 cup of raw seeds with 1 liter of quality water and filter the mixture with a cheese making mesh.
In addition, hemp seeds contain many minerals and all essential amino acids, but especially it is an important source of the amino acid tryptophan , a precursor to serotonin (the well-known hormone of happiness) and that also promotes good sleep and rest.
If we sleep well and wake up rested and repaired, we manage stress better and have more energy for the digestive and circulation processes, and this does affect healthy hair growth.
It is a domino effect, many details may seem, but everything is interconnected and everything must be taken into account.
4. EAT ALMONDS
Having dry skin is a bad sign for the health of your hair. Dehydration can accentuate poor circulation and digestion, which leads to even drier and brittle hair. Almonds are a very good option for dry skin because they are very rich in vitamin E , the best antioxidant for the dermis.
It is preferable if you let them soak the night before to rehydrate and activate them , and remember to rinse them well before eating them (you can keep them activated in the fridge for about 3 more days if you do not consume them all at the moment).
Yes, I know that you will be wondering if this step is really necessary, with things to do we have in our day to day and the little time we have, but I always want to share what will be the most optimal option, and if you look at it well, it only takes 5 seconds to do it.
Soaking / germinating the seeds, nuts and grains helps to improve their digestions and absorb their nutrients and eliminate inhibitory enzymes and acids from their surface.
Another tip will be to use natural shampoos with almond oil extract.
5. MAKE A GOOD DEBUG
This is what point 1 led us to. It is highly recommended to clean the body from time to time - ideally in each season - so that your digestive system rests and is cleaned of toxins and mucus, which at the same time will help improve circulation
The purifications that I propose are basically eating clean, being 5 days eating only natural , unprocessed and plant-based foods , without abusing nuts or seeds because of their high fat content (even if it is healthy), and increase vegetables green leaf.
And if we want to take it a step further, I recommend semi-fasting based on juices and green smoothies , for 1-3 days, depending on your level of acceptance. This last option, if done under no professional supervision, should always be done once we have cleaned our diet, otherwise the cleansing symptoms can be very annoying.
6. GET MASSAGES ON THE SCALP
This stimulates the circulation of the area and consequently improves hair growth. Give yourself a good massage every time you clean your hair or every morning or night as part of your ritual that includes brushing your teeth and face.
