Ingredients

  • 1/2 english muffin (english muffin type)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese
  • 4 tablespoons chopped vegetables, fruits and / or cooked meat
Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Toast the English muffin.
  3. Spread the spaghetti or pizza sauce on the English muffin.
  4. Add cheese and other ingredients on the bun.
  5. Bake 5 to 7 minutes until the English muffin is lightly browned and the cheese melted.
  6. Let cool slightly before consuming.
  7. Refrigerate leftovers within the next 2 hours.

Notes:


  • Try a variety of fruits and vegetables such as onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, pineapple and tomato.
  • Add cooked and cut meat such as chicken or sausage.
  • To increase the amount of fiber try whole wheat muffins.
